Aero Countertops – Frequently Asked Questions
What types of countertops do you offer?
We fabricate and install a wide range of materials, including quartz, granite, laminate, porcelain, and solid surface. Each material has unique benefits, and our team can help you choose the best option for your space, style, and budget.
How do I get an estimate for my countertops?
Simply send us a sketch, drawing, or blueprint of your layout. Include measurements, sink placement, and any special details. We’ll provide a fast, accurate, complimentary estimate based on your design.
Do you offer on-site measurements?
Yes. After you approve the estimate, we schedule a professional digital template at your home or job site to ensure precise measurements before fabrication begins.
Do I need to remove my old countertops before templating?
While it is not strictly required, we strongly prefer that existing countertops be removed prior to templating. Having a clear, unobstructed view of the cabinets allows our technicians to capture the most accurate measurements and identify any leveling issues or wall irregularities. If the old tops remain in place during templating, there is a higher risk of minor discrepancies.
If you are unable to remove them, please ensure the surfaces are completely cleared of all items before our arrival.
What edge profiles do you offer?
We offer a variety of edge styles, including:
• Eased / Square
• Bevel
• Bullnose
• Ogee
• Waterfall edges (for islands)
Our team can help you choose the best profile for your design.
Can you install my sink and faucet?
We cut and prepare all sink and faucet openings during fabrication. On installation day, we mount undermount sinks and ensure everything fits perfectly. Plumbing reconnection should be done by a licensed plumber.
Do quartz countertops need sealing?
No. Quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing. Granite and some natural stones do
require periodic sealing, which we can guide you through.
How do I care for my new countertops?
Care is simple:
• Use mild soap and water for daily cleaning
• Avoid abrasive cleaners
• Use cutting boards to protect the surface
• For granite, reseal as recommended
We provide care instructions for every material we install.
Can you match my existing cabinets or décor?
Absolutely. We offer a wide range of colours, patterns, and finishes. Our design team can help you choose a surface that complements your cabinetry, flooring, and overall style.
How long does the typical installation take?
Most countertop installations take about 3–6 hours from start to finish. The exact time depends on the size of your space, the number of pieces being installed, and any sink or appliance cutouts.
Even though installation day is fairly quick, the full process — including measurement, fabrication, and installation — typically takes 2–4 weeks. This ensures your countertops are custom-made to fit your home perfectly.
Do you offer backsplash options?
Yes! We offer several backsplash solutions to complete your project:
Full-Height Backsplash: For a seamless, high-end look, we can install a solid slab of the same material (Quartz, Granite, or Porcelain) that extends from your countertop up to the bottom of your upper cabinets.
Standard 4-Inch Backsplash: A classic choice where a short strip of matching countertop material is installed along the wall to protect against moisture and spills.
Custom Coordination: Since we work with a variety of premium materials, we can help you choose a backsplash that perfectly complements your new surfaces.
Do you work with contractors, designers, and builders?
Yes. We regularly collaborate with industry professionals and can coordinate directly with your contractor or designer to ensure a smooth project.
Yes. All materials come with manufacturer warranties, and our workmanship is backed by Aero Countertops’ quality guarantee.
